The lovely Adalyn came from an Indiana shelter after having been in their foster care system a very long time. She was recently returned to foster care when her family moved and could not take her with.

Adalyn is a super sweet, confident rabbit, who does not like hands over her head. She prefers to be petted before treats, pelleted food, hay, and salads. Her foster mom and dad are happy to oblige her <3

Adalyn will require an adopter who will approach her from the front, take things slowly, and be willing to give her TONS and TONS and TONS of pets. She had a bunny friend who passed away and might like a bunny friend. Adalyn is ready for her forever home!

I'm at the Rabbit Adoption Center! Visit me!

I'm Artemis and I'm here for the hanging out! I tend to like most people and I like to explore. I'm friendly girl and I can't wait to find a new family! I had a rough start - someone abandoned me in a storage unit. Thankfully I was rescued by animal control and IHRS! I'm happy for my fresh start.

I have some minor medical needs - I have an ongoing respiratory problem but antibiotics haven't been super successful. I'll need a family who will keep an eye on my intermittent snotty nose and take me to the vet when it flares up.

Let's meet and hang out!

Bernadette aka Bunny is a loving, curious and cuddly girl. Her perfect face markings are such a unique addition to her attentive personality. She loves blankets to dig & tunnel under, a fuzzy comfy bed to snuggle into, a safe box to escape when things get loud & plenty of pets from her people.

She appreciates her daily free roam time and doesn’t mind other animals or the hustle & bustle of a busy household. She is very regimented & will remind you when it’s breakfast time!

She will fit in well with a family or person who wants to make blanket forts and have daily bunny snuggles!

Hi, my name is Betsy, I was found in a cage by a dumpster in Kentucky. I am so happy to be a house rabbit!

I love food, any kind of food. My foster family cannot resist me when when I stand up and beg for treats :)

Like almost all bunnies, I do not like being picked up, I like all four feet on the floor. I love to be petted once I get to know you.

I have great litterbox habits and would be a good candidate as a free roaming bunny. I am an intrepid explorer and need a big space to explore. I am brave, you will need to bunny proof or fence off any area you do not want me to be.

I am interested in the “boy next door” and may like a bunny companion. I would also do just fine as a single rabbit.

I would love to take over your heart and home <3. Are you my forever family?

Hi, I'm Blair the Hare! I was abandoned at a park in Fishers but I didn’t want to be there! When volunteers from IHRS found me, I was still hanging out by the parking lot I was spotted in a few hours earlier. I was found meeting people at the park, trying to get them to take me home!

I fell in love with house life immediately. My favorite part might be the unlimited water and hay buffet. I eat every scrap of hay in my litter box and rarely leave anything outside of it.

I use it to fuel my athleticism. I am proud to say I can jump a 36" ex-pen straight up! My foster humans recommend a pen topper or a taller pen. They say I keep the tidiest pen of the 3 rabbits in the house though! I usually choose to lay out in the open to flop and sleep because I've learned I am perfectly safe and loved now that I'm indoors. I love full body pets from my humans. I especially melt for head pets and cheek rubs! I make sure to give them big kisses with my tongue in gratitude! If you've never had a bunny kiss you are missing out! I use my big hare-like ears to keep track of what's going on but I'm a super friendly and polite girl and not much scares me. I have a great energy and spirit that will put a smile on anybun’s face! Will you help me find my furever home?

Hi, I’m Bordeaux. I was found dumped outside. I surprised my foster mom with babies a few hours later. I was very shy at first but really appreciated having a steady (healthy) diet while I took care of my babies. I started to come out of my shell when I felt safe and binky all over the place. I will do better in a quiet house. I get along with cats & prefer to let me approach you. I can’t wait to find my forever home!

I am Bridget, formerly called Thumper. I am a very shy little girl. My former owner left me when she moved out of her apartment. Fortunately, she had a roommate who contacted my foster mom.

I have a slight head tilt but no one is sure why since I am healthy. I will allow you to hold me once you catch me, and I may give you bunny kisses! I like most foods but not spinach. I am timid and tend to hide when I am out of my pen. With a little coaxing and patience I will warm up to you and love you. Would you please give me a forever home of my own?

Coco and four other rabbits were found wondering around a neighborhood in Merrillville, IN. Since is grateful to be a house rabbit and settled in quickly.

Coco is a very curious and social with people, she loves to be petted. Her play area is full of toys and Coco bunstructed a custom made playhouse from a cardboard box. She is a very busy girl!

Coco would do well in a home where she has alot of space to run around and explore as she is full of energy.

Do you have space in your heart to give this cutie a forever home?

Hi I’m Daria, I am a super shy girl that will need a calm home. When I’m comfortable enough I do wild zoomies and binkies. I run all over. I love to play with toys and I’m good with my litter box. It’s possible I would like a friend. I definitely need an adopter that’s going to get down on my level so I can investigate. I’m excited to meet my forever family!

*Bonded Pair*

I was just a little baby fending for myself with dozens of other rabbits in a suburban yard when I came into the rescue. Since then I have bonded with my best friend Jasper. We are quite the pair. Everyone that meets us smiles at our size difference. I am a gentle giant but my tiny husbun protects me. I can chill out all day but I also love to zoom and binky during play time. I’m good at sharing food & making sure Jasper gets enough to eat. If he is hangery he lets me know and I let him go first. In the past I have choked on pellets so we eat bigger pellets (Science Sellective) that are scattered and that helps me eat slowly. We love to play with toys. We’re ready to meet our forever family and settle in!

Florence was pulled from a local shelter when her time ran out. She had a prior rescue commitment that fell through, thankfully the shelter was flexible while they contacted Indiana HRS :)

Florence is a delightful bunny that is incredibly grateful for her spacious living space and nutritious diet. She is a little overweight due to her living conditions in her original home. Florence has learned to play with toys, run through her activity bench, and jump up on her activity bench and play “hide and seek” behind the bunny cut out. She was a little slow to accept hay, but loves it now! She is a pelleted food “grazer” not a “gobbler” and really looks forward to her daily salad. Given her housing history, she is a little wary of hands over her head or coming at her. This behavior has dramatically improved during her time in foster care and will get better and better when she learns to trust more people.

Florence is low maintenance bunny that would make a great free roaming candidate. In her foster home she has not been a digger and chews on her large variety of toys appropriately. Florence is warming up to being petted and will require a patient adopter. Could you be Florence’s dream come true?

I'm a teeny little fluff ball named Gizzy. Someone left me in a cage next to a dumpster! Fortunately a stranger found me and took care of me. I will need some grooming for my luxurious wool and sometimes cleanups for my undercarriage - it's hard to keep all this fur organized.

I am so happy to be housed safely indoors. I can be a bit anxious sometimes, but once I trust a person I'm happy to be around them. I really need a calm person who will let me be myself and not expect me to allow much handling unless I ask for it. I can be very sassy - I'll lunge at you when you bring my food or visit me, but I'm mostly bluff. I'll be a great companion to a person who can understand my previous abandonment means I will take time to learn to trust someone new. If you can give me that acceptance and understanding, we will be good pals.

I am a busy girl who likes to hang out in my fancy castle. My castle will come with me when I'm adopted, it's so fun to play in! I'm very picky about greens (I eat almost none of them!) and the kind of pellets I eat.

I am very curious about other rabbits when they are visiting. Not sure I want a friend to live with in my own space, but I do like to be near other rabbits.

Hi I’m Gogi, I get along with other rabbits. I was previously bonded and lost my bun bestie unexpectedly. She was the brave one so I’m feeling extra shy. I have done well on bunny dates. I might like another bunny friend. I would rather not live in a busy, active home, I would be very overwhelmed. I am very active, I need lots of places to explore and run around and hidey spots if needed. I need an adopter that will be patient with me so I can relax in my new home.

Hi there, my name is Gram!

I’m a sweet, tiny little guy that was found running around in the backyard of a nice family and hanging out with their chickens. The family contacted my foster parents to come rescue me as they didn’t believe I was a wild rabbit. I was very scared and anxious when I was finally rescued; it took me a few days to understand I wasn’t going to be abused or eaten. Now I love the house bunny life!

I am very curious and love to explore, especially places I know I’m not supposed to be! I also love food and will always beg for more, and for treats! My foster parents believe I’m a mini-Rex as my fur is very soft. Once I am comfortable enough with you, I may even flop next to you because I love all the pets! Please consider adopting me as your forever bunny!

Hi, my name is Hammie and I was found under a classic Porsche in Indianapolis. The volunteers named me Hammie because I was a standout at the shelter, always greeting visitors playfully, standing on my tippy toes trying to be the center of attention, a real ham! Most of my fellow bunmates were shy and a little uncertain around the volunteers, but I know they are good people and I was so excited to see them! I'm really super hopeful that some day I may get a bigger space to explore and toys to practice my new tricks. Not to brag, but I'm a very good jumper and super clever, so I may need a pen topper if I'm not free roaming. I like to keep busy!

House rabbit life is the best! All the food and fun, and a safe place to crash hard and rest whenever I want. I'm so excited to meet more house rabbit people! I would love to meet you!

My name is Honey, because I have such pretty honey colored fur! I was wandering a neighborhood, living under a truck in a driveway. I was eating dried leaves to survive. My foster parents were able to catch me and take me home.

I am a big girl, around 7 pounds. Like most bunnies, I prefer all four paws on the floor. Once you get to know me, I will allow you to pet me. I am very food motivated. I haven’t found a food I haven’t liked! I solved the treat puzzle right away and I constantly beg for more treats! I love to do zoomies around the family room, while my foster mom counts my laps. I explore everywhere, and I enjoy visiting my bunny brothers and sisters. I may be interested in having a bunny companion.

Will you please consider adding me to your family?

Imala is one lucky bunny, confiscated by animal control after having been abandoned in a very small cage without food or water for a significant period of time. After eating and eating and eating and drinking and drinking and drinking, she settled into foster care and promptly took over the bunny room =:3

Imala is an incredibly busy bunny, she has a lot of run and play time to make up! She has the personality of a bubbly extrovert. She loves pelleted food, hay, and SALADS, wondering where these have been her entire life! Now that she is spayed, Imala has very good litterbox habits.

Imala is still learning what being petted is all about. She is warming up and will require an adopter who is patient with animals that need time to trust. Imala is braver and braver every day. She is spending almost all of her time out and about versus hiding when someone is in the room. Imala is a busy bunny that will require B- bunny proofing. Can you provide Imala a home where she will have sufficient time to continue to blossom?

Hi, I’m Indigo, My mom’s name is Taylor so that makes me a Swiftie! My siblings and I along with our mom were dumped in a park when we were very little. Some nice people saw us and caught us all. My nickname is 5 dots because I have 5 clear dots on my head. I’m shy in the beginning but once I feel safe I’m very busy! I love to explore and run/zoom. I’m still young and have lots of energy so I need a family that will provide me with plenty of enrichment. My favorite is shredding paper! Old phone books, packing paper, even cardboard will do. I also like to have a sheet draped over the side of my pen so I can hide or zoom in and out. I can’t wait to meet my new family!

Hi I’m Jane, I have VERY expressive eyes! My mom had my siblings and I at the shelter. That’s how we ended up with IHRS 2 days later. I’m shy at first but I love to run and play. I’m young and have a lot of energy so I need an adopter that will give me lots of run time. I’ve been in a quiet environment my whole life so new sounds scare me. As long as I have my hidey house to run to I’m ok though. I love my salads and I’m very tidy with litter box. Now that I’m spayed I’m excited to meet my forever family!

Hi, I’m Jasper! I’m bonded to my best friend Eddie Hopper. Everyone that meets us says we’re adorable! Our size difference makes you smile right away. I’m the tiny one but I chose Eddie Hopper for my bunwife and I will protect her at all costs! We do enjoy pets. I will usually let my lady eat first and then I’ll join in but occasionally I will get hangery and chase her. She can join after I’ve had a couple bites. Shame on me, I know. Hi, I am Lady Snow! I was found as a stray with my family when I was a tiny baby - barely eating on my own ?? I am still growing and eat a LOT!

I am a bit shy, once I warm up - look out world here I come! I run faster than any rabbit my foster family has ever seen. I have dramatic binkies and love to jump on top of things. I very much enjoy bonking my foster mom and running away before she can react, hahahaha! I love to throw my toys around and explore the world by nibbling on things, like any baby :)

I prefer my back to be petted as opposed to my face. Once I settle in, I really enjoy ear scratches. Given my time as a stray, I haven’t yet warmed up entirely to my foster doggo. I am becoming very curious about my foster cat and will run up and sniff her.

Given my shy nature, I would thrive in a quieter home with older kiddos. Are you the family where I can live my best life?

Hi, my name is Liza. I was dumped outside in a park. Some nice people found me and took me to the shelter. I didn’t like it there so I put on quite a show to bust out of there. My foster family named me Liza Bun-innelli because I was such a great performer!

Now that I have settled into foster care, I am shy, It takes me a while to warm up to you! I love fresh veggies and pellets I devour them immediately! I love cardboard! It’s my favorite toy to shred to pieces!

I am very curious, but loud noises scare me. I would thrive in a quiet home where I have time and space to come out of my shell. Are you my perfect family?

Poor Mariska was found dragging her leg, thin, dehydrated, and dirty in a field in Taylorsville Indiana. She was very lucky she didn't starve or get eaten by a predator. Our rescue took her in and vetted her the next day. While we don't know what trauma or illness caused her inability to use one rear leg and general muscle wasting, special recovery foster care allowed Mariska to really bloom! She became stronger and stronger over weeks, and now can hop again and get in a litterbox :D Mariska hops all over her nice big pen living space now that she's feeling so much better. Mariska may have some issues with her back leg over time, she hops a bit crooked which adds to her special charm, AND she has graduated to adoptable with appropriate medical care and support.

Mariska is spayed and has awesome litterbox habits provided she is not around other rabbits =:3. She is incredibly sweet, loves treatos (her foster mom calls them cookies!) and is beginning to appreciate being petted. Given how thin she was when she arrived, Mariska is a bit enthusiastic at food time which is easily managed.

Mariska will thrive in a home where she will be the only rabbit. She would be a lovely addition to a family who will cherish her and celebrate her victory over illness and being stray. Are you Mariska’s family?

Hi! I’m Nori and I was found abandoned outside as a baby with my four siblings and our parents! I was living as a trio in the shelter for a while before the nice people from IHRS pulled me into rescue. I’m living alone now in my foster home. I’m still shy and nervous about being approached but I’m working with my foster mom to become more brave. I’m starting to learn that human are nice. They give me yummy food and treats and I love the pets! I’m getting better now that I run up to my foster mom when she has treats. I love treats but I’m a slow salad eater. I won’t eat it right away because I want to save it for later at night.
I’m young and playful - I like to run around my space. I can also jump very high and will jump out of the pen if the topper is not closed. I also like to go under the sheets on the floor and bury myself to keep me warm. I would do well in a quiet home and I need a family who will work with me so I can trust them. I might want a bunny friend some day. I’d like to meet you!

Hey there! My name is Dr. Oppenhopper, but you can call me Oppy. I got my unique name when I unexpectedly hopped into my foster mom’s life right after she saw the movie Oppenheimer. I am a super sweet and spirited Dutch mix with a heart as big as my bunny ears. Life's an adventure, and I'm looking for a special someone to share it with.

I'm around four to five months old, and trust me, I've got a personality as delightful as a sunny day. I'm laid back but far from aloof; I'm just the right mix of curious and cuddly, on my own terms, of course. My days are spent exploring my large play area, doing happy binkys and zoomies, and I love sitting among the curtains, gazing through the sliding glass door, daydreaming about one day being a free roam bunny. Toys aren’t really my style, unless they contain food. I especially enjoy my dig box. There's something satisfying about digging and finding treats, you know? Did I mention I'm great with my litter box? Keeping my cage neat is a point of pride for me.

I'm a connoisseur of salads, enjoying them twice a day alongside my hay and pellets. Oh, the joy of casually munching on some of my favorite herbs – cilantro, parsley, and mint! And here's a secret: get nose to nose with me, and I can't help but melt into a puddle of bunny sweetness. I'll even shower you with bunny kisses if you’re patient. I live in a quiet home, separate from a foster bunny sister, so I am unfamiliar with other animals, but I'm open to expanding my social circle.

So, if you're someone who appreciates bunny sweetness, enjoys cuddly moments, and is ready for a fluffy adventure, swipe right. Let's create our own love story, one hop at a time!

Hi, I'm Parker! I was found running loose in a public park in the winter as a baby. Thankfully a nice person caught me and got me fixed up at the vet! I'm very sweet and I like exploring. I do struggle with using my litterbox & that is something my new family will have to take into consideration. I’m sort of a messy boy but I make up for it because I’m a sweetheart and love pets. I need help cleaning my rear end sometimes. I have been to the vet many times and had lots of tests ran. There is nothing abnormal, I just need a little extra TLC. I love to run and binky. I am excited to find my forever home!

Hi, I'm Petey! I'm bonded to my brother Razzle and we need to be adopted together. I'm still growing emotionally, but pretty well full grown size wise!

We love being together and sometimes launch WWIII in our pen as we chase each other and then freeze! We love to be petted, my brother somewhat more than I do. When given run time, we are both brave explorers who will occasionally surprise each other resulting in jumps and runs!

We are still learning our litterbox :)

Ritchie was found outside as a stray in a Fishers park but some wonderful volunteers caught him and brought him to rescue. He is a very sweet boy. He loves food, treats, and lots of pets. He keeps his pen clean and has a good litter box habit. He is young and has a lot of energy. He would love a lot of space and time to run. He likes to explore everything outside of the pen. He is normally not destructive but he can chew on things and pushes the pen hard when he wants to be out. As long as he has lots of enrichment, attention and run time , he will not destroy things. Are you ready to make him part of your family?

Rosalina was born at a shelter after her mom had been a stray bunny and ended up there. Lucky for Rosalina and her family, she moved to rescue as soon as she was born and she grew up knowing what it's like to be a house rabbit! Rosalina was adopted over the pandemic and recently returned to IHRS through no fault of her own.

Rosalina is a lover-girl! She enjoys being snuggled and petted and ALWAYS wants a treat. She is also a big lover of hay and munches on it constantly. From our volunteers, “Rosalina came over and closed her eyes and wanted to be pet the entire time and we melted. I could barely bring myself to leave!”

Rosalina is a beautiful snow white girl with blue eyes. She is looking for her forever family where she can be petted to her heart’s content!”

Hi my name is Sabrina! I was surrendered to a shelter with my sister when we were young. We were adopted and recently returned when a very sick relative moved into Mom and Dad’s house which left no room for us to “bunny.” My sister and I decided we did not want to live together any more so now I get all the attention!

I am sweet when given time to approach you. It is important that I have an adopter who is patient and lets me come to them. I am told I have the cutest binkies that get a whopping 2 inches off the ground (not my fault, I have wittle legs) and have the BEST hair. My flops are 10/10 works of art, check out my other pictures!

Sabrina does not like it when you mess with her things, but if you distract her she is okay. We feel given this behavior, she would thrive in a quiet home without children. Can you provide Sabrina a home where she can thrive?

Hi, I'm Scone! I'm new here and looking for my forever family. I was born in a camp where my humans didn't have a home to live in so my mom and siblings and I were just roaming free outside. It was scary and I am very happy to be an indoor house bunny now. I am slightly shy with new people and places, but I'm curious and if you give me time, we might just be best friends. I have spent a lot of time with my brothers and sisters and might like a bunny friend someday.

Hi everyone! My friend and I were dumped in the middle of winter along the White River in downtown Indianapolis. I had frostbite on the tips of my ears. Thankfully some nice people from the bunny rescue caught us, we spent a week at the shelter, and then the bunny rescue came to bring us to foster care!
I'm learning fast to use my litterbox. I like to stay busy tearing paper, chewing sticks, and putting toys in my water dish. I'm still getting used to people, I'm a little scared of them. With my foster mom I do little binkies because I love when she brings me food. But I can be shy with new people and I react kind of cranky when I'm scared... I'll need patience from my new family to learn to trust them. I'd love to have lots of room to play!

Hi, I’m Starlight. My mom’s name is Taylor so that makes me a Swiftie! My siblings and I along with our mom were dumped in a park when we were very little. Some nice people saw us and caught us all before it got dark! I’ve been loving house bun life ever since. My foster mom calls me the queen of Bunstruction. I’m currently working on making a skylight in my hidey house. I like to run and play in hanging sheets/curtains. My favorite activity is shredding paper! I’m getting good at using my litter box now that I’m spayed. I’m looking forward to finding my forever home! I’m still young and have lots of energy so I need a family that’s willing to let me run around.

Hi, my name is Striker! I was set loose outside which was scary!! Some nice volunteers caught me and I am thankful to be safe indoors.

I am friendly, curious, and enjoy being petted. I like being around other rabbits and might like a bunny friend.

I have a crooked hop. Our vet discovered that I have arthritis in my right knee. It is unknown if this was a problem before I was set loose or if I was injured when I was outside. This does not slow me down at all, I like to jump on my hidey house and do the bunny 500.

Can you provide me a forever home where I will be loved and cherished?

Hi my name is Tabitha!

I am fairly apprehensive with people. It is important that I have an adopter who is patient and lets me come to them. I do like to tease with pets - I let you get close and make you believe that I want to be petted, but then I run away after a brief touch. Hee hee hee!

Tabitha does not like it when you mess with her things, but if you distract her she is okay. We feel given this behavior, she would thrive in a quiet home without children. Can you provide Tabitha a home where she can thrive?

Thérèse is one of our hand raised babies, handled twice daily since the day she was born until she was 10 weeks old. She is people focused, loves to be petted, and is easy to pick up.

Thérèse is the smallest of her siblings, she definitely wants to be in charge! She is very active, and loves to be in the middle of anything you are doing. Thérèse loves to dig in her digging box, throw her toys around, chew on wooden toys, and loves to hop on top of things to survey her surroundings.

Thérèse is a delightful little sprite. She will make a delightful companion for the right family. Are you her family who will love and cherish her?

Hi, I’m Twiggy. I was named after the supermodel because I have beautiful eyelashes and “eyeliner”. When I was with my 2 sisters I was the bossy one. I was also the first one to run for treats or run out of the pen for play time. I love to go on adventures and play with toys. I have a LOT of sass! If you spend time with me on my level I will jump all over you & take treats out of your hand. If you come at me from above I’m probably going to box you. I might not be the best fit for young kids. I will be a super sweet rabbit for someone that’s willing to take it slow so I can trust them. I’m super excited to meet my forever family.

Xena and her companion were turned loose by their owner. Xena, her companion, and baby rabbits from two back to back litters were captured by our volunteers. Poor girlie was absolutely TERRIFIED in the shelter. She delivered her third litter of babies within 60 days, 3 days after capture.

We pulled Xena and her babies to foster care. She was so nutritionally depleted, from her life on the lam and three back to back litters, that she did not produce any milk :(. Our volunteers hand raised her six surviving babies.

Xena has seen a LOT of trauma in her short life. She had made great strides in foster care learning to how to bunny, play with toys, and learn to trust. Xena is taking treats from her foster mama, does binkies at food time, and has the most amazing bunny flop. We are thrilled that she is decompressing and appears to ne enjoying life. Xena is not a fan of being petted at this point in time. We are hopeful she will trust enough to want pets as she continues to become braver every day!

Xena will require an extremely patient adopter with experience winning over animals slow to trust. She will thrive in a quiet home with a consistent routine.

Do you have the patience to love Xena while she adjusts to her new home?

Hi, I’m Xoliswa! I love being petted!! I run up to the front of my enclosure when my foster family is in my room and follow them around soliciting attention. I also love playing with toys, especially those that I can pick up and toss and fling :). I have a really sweet personality and enjoy being around people. I get along with older people, dogs, and other rabbits, I might want a bunny friend some day. I would rather not be left alone for long periods of time, I love being around people so much! I need an adopter or a family who will spend a lot of time with me. I have lots of attitude and am a pretty "forward" bunny; since I am pretty sassy and forward (and I'm also a big girl!), I don't do very well with children, I will probably do best in a home with adults who know how to speak bunny. An experienced bunny person would be my dream mom or dad!
