Ruby suffered in her life prior to Indiana HRS. She lived in a small wire cage and was used for breeding. In the shelter we observed her favoring her rear legs , she was was in pain.

Ruby has been seen by our rabbit-savvy veterinarian. She has arthritis but is managing well on pain medicine. Despite her horrific past, Ruby actively seeks out cuddles with her foster mom. She loves her salads and pellets and has gained some weight so it’s time for a diet. ;)

Ruby's foster mom says: "She is a heart-stealer! She is independent, LOVES human companionship and to be petted. (Salads are pretty high on her list too!) Despite the horrors of her past she is a true gem. Her arthritis doesn’t stop her from exploring, squeezing into small places and giving just the right amount of sass. She can’t wait for Valentines Day!"
